NEW INTERNATIONAL MEGA-FESTIVAL TO HELSINKI – SANTANA, TOTO AND MANY MORE GLOBAL STARS HEAD TO KAIVOPUISTO BLUES NEXT JULY!

Helsinki will welcome a major new international music festival next summer as Kaivopuisto Blues brings an impressive line-up of leading Finnish and international artists to the city. Taking place on 30–31 July 2027, the festival will feature world-class performances from Santana, Toto, Kool & The Gang, Hurts and Rag’n’Bone Man, alongside Finnish artists including Erja Lyytinen, Honey B & T-Bones and SF Blues, featuring Dave Lindholm, Pepe Ahlqvist, Jukka Gustavson, Jarmo Nikku, Mikko Löytty and Harri Ala-Kojola.

Helsinki audiences can look forward to several special performances, including Santana’s celebratory tour marking his 80th birthday and Toto’s 50th-anniversary tour. The festival will feature more than 20 artists in total, including blues supergroup Blues Royalty, featuring Kenny Neal, John Primer and former members of B.B. King’s band Tony “T.C.” Coleman and Russell Jackson; American blues sensation D.K. Harrell; The Amy Winehouse Band; Swedish-American singer-songwriter Eagle-Eye Cherry; Danish blues band Thorbjørn Risager & The Black Tornado; and Finnish acts Wentus Blues Band, Emma Salokoski, Emilia Sisco & The Northern Lights and Ina Forsman. More artists will be announced before the end of the year.

In addition to its world-class line-up, Kaivopuisto Blues will offer a wide range of food, drink and other festival experiences. Visitors can look forward to an extensive selection of food, wine importers and much more.

“We have been planning this event for Kaivopuisto for three years, and we have now secured an impressive line-up. There has been a lack of an event of this calibre in the Uusimaa region for our target audience. If this festival were a car, it would be the Mercedes-Benz of festivals. Alongside great music, we will invest in a diverse selection of high-quality food and premium VIP services for both private guests and business clients. The festival grounds will feature, among other things, a two-storey Platinum VIP area with capacity for 400 guests,” says festival promoter Kalle Keskinen.

The festival will take place on Kaivopuisto’s large, open event field, located in the southern and central parts of the park close to the sea. Kaivopuisto has previously hosted major events, including summer concerts, air shows and numerous other public events.

Two-day Early Blues tickets at a special price are now on sale through Tiketti until 2 November.
